- Abstract
The November 2010 issue of College & Research Libraries News features a QR Code (a type of barcode) on the cover and an article on QR codes and mobile users. In this session the author will give simple howto steps for creating QR codes, along with examples of QRcode implementation in all types of libraries. She will also cover augmented reality (AR), a technology that “augments” physical reality with digital information. Though this technology is still evolving, there is great potential for providing visual and interactive experiences. Learn about AR apps for mobile devices, how early adopters are exploring and implementing this technology in libraries, and why AR is an important trend to follow.
